What is Brand DNA?
Brand DNA is Zebrafy's structured profile of your brand voice. It captures tone descriptors (e.g., 'playful but authoritative'), top signature phrases, formality score, emoji cadence, sentence-length distribution, and CTA patterns — extracted automatically from your website and optional connected social profiles. Every Zebrafy generation is constrained by your Brand DNA profile, which is why outputs sound like you.
How does Zebrafy learn my brand voice?
Enter your website URL. Zebrafy's Brand DNA engine crawls your homepage plus any public pages linked from it and extracts a baseline voice profile in under 60 seconds. For sharper results, connect your social accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, X) on the Zebra plan and above — this imports your actual posts to refine the profile further.
Can I edit my Brand DNA manually?
Yes. After Zebrafy extracts your Brand DNA, you can edit any dimension inline — personality descriptors, signature phrases, formality level, emoji policy, CTA style. You can also re-run the extractor anytime to refresh the profile as your brand evolves.
Can I have multiple Brand DNA profiles?
Yes, on paid plans. Stallion ($39/mo) includes 3 profiles, Herd ($79/mo) includes 10, and Safari ($199/mo) is unlimited. Agencies and multi-brand founders use this to keep every client or sub-brand's voice separate.
Will my content sound like AI if I use Zebrafy?
Only if you're writing generic AI content. Zebrafy's whole design is to sound like your specific business — your phrases, your tone, your emoji style — not like a generic LLM. Properly set up, your audience reads your content and thinks 'yep, that's [your brand]'. If output ever drifts, re-score it — the On-Brand Score (1–100) will tell you where it went off and what to fix.

Zebrafy works on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Threads, Google Reviews, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Gmail, Substack, ConvertKit, beehiiv, Hootsuite, Buffer, and any generic textarea or contenteditable field on the web. The Chrome extension adds a Zebra Button next to every text field so you generate and score inline, on the platform.
Do I have to copy-paste between Zebrafy and the platform?
No. The Zebrafy Chrome extension adds a Zebra Button directly next to every text field on the web. Click it to generate or score content in place — no tab-switching, no copy-paste. There's also a standalone web app if you prefer generating inside Zebrafy first.
Does Zebrafy adapt content for each platform?
Yes. The extension detects which platform you're on and tunes the generation for that platform's norms — LinkedIn gets professional long-form, Instagram gets short captions with your emoji cadence, Google Reviews get warm personalized replies, X gets punchy short-form. Your Brand DNA voice stays constant across all of them; only the format adapts.
Does Zebrafy work on mobile?
The Zebrafy web app works on any mobile browser for generation and scoring. The Chrome extension is desktop-only today because mobile Chrome doesn't support extensions. Most users generate on desktop for bulk work and use the mobile web app for on-the-go replies.

How the On-Brand Score works and what it measures.

What is the On-Brand Score?
The On-Brand Score rates any text 1–100 on how well it aligns with your Brand DNA. It breaks the score down across dimensions — tone match, phrase usage, formality, emoji cadence, CTA style — and surfaces specific suggestions on which dimensions are off. Use it as a pre-publish QA check or as a training tool for junior content hires.
What's a good On-Brand Score?
85+ is generally ship-ready. 70–84 is close but flag-worthy — check the dimensional feedback. Under 70 usually means the content doesn't match your voice closely enough and should be revised or regenerated. Scores aren't absolute; they're relative to your specific Brand DNA.
Can I score content I didn't generate in Zebrafy?
Yes. The Score view accepts any pasted text — content written by a teammate, a freelancer, an agency, a VA, or any other source. It rates that text 1–100 against your Brand DNA the same way it rates Zebrafy-generated content. This is useful for QA workflows and onboarding new content hires.

Is Zebrafy free?
Yes. The Colt plan is free forever — 10 generations and 10 scores per month, 1 brand profile, every platform, no credit card required. Most solo users and light-use businesses stay on Colt or upgrade to Zebra ($19/mo) for 100 generations and Social Connect.
What do the paid plans cost?
Colt: $0/mo (free forever). Zebra: $19/mo (100 generations + scores, Social Connect, Brand DNA builder). Stallion: $39/mo (500 generations + scores, 3 brand profiles, 3 team seats, API). Herd: $79/mo (2,000 generations + scores, 10 profiles, 10 seats, API). Safari: $199/mo (10,000 generations + scores, 50 profiles, unlimited seats, API).
Is Zebrafy cheaper than Jasper, Copy.ai, or Writesonic?
Yes at entry — Zebrafy has a free forever plan, whereas Jasper and Copy.ai start at $49/mo and Writesonic starts at $16/mo with limited features. Zebrafy's paid plans start at $19/mo. The positioning is different too: Zebrafy is brand-voice-first, while Jasper is long-form-first and Copy.ai is workflow-first.
Do you offer agency or team plans?
Yes. Stallion ($39/mo) includes 3 brand profiles and 3 team seats. Herd ($79/mo) includes 10 profiles and 10 seats. Safari ($199/mo) is the full agency tier with 50 profiles and unlimited seats. Every tier includes the full feature set — the differentiator is volume and multi-brand capacity.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All paid plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract. Cancel from your billing settings and you keep access through the end of your current billing period, then drop back to the Colt (free) plan.

Privacy & Data

What Zebrafy stores, what it doesn't, and how your content is used.

Does Zebrafy train on my content?
No. Zebrafy does not train foundation models on your Brand DNA or on content you generate or score. Your content is stored privately against your account to power the Brand DNA profile and generation history for you. See the Privacy Policy at /privacy for the full data-handling details.
Where is my data stored?
Zebrafy runs on U.S.-hosted infrastructure. Account data, Brand DNA profiles, and generation history are stored encrypted at rest. Payment data is handled by Stripe and never touches Zebrafy's servers directly.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete any individual Brand DNA profile, generation, or score from the app. You can also delete your entire account — which wipes all associated data — from your account settings. Deletions are permanent.

Does Zebrafy have an API?
Yes, on Stallion ($39/mo) and above. The REST API exposes Brand DNA extraction, generation, and scoring endpoints, so you can integrate Zebrafy into your own apps, agents, or CMS pipelines. Full docs are at /api-docs.
Does Zebrafy work with Buffer, Hootsuite, or my scheduler?
Yes. The Chrome extension adds a Zebra Button directly in Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, and every major scheduler's post composer — so you generate on-brand content inside the scheduler you already use. For programmatic scheduling workflows, pair Zebrafy's API (Stallion+) with your scheduler's API.
Can I use Zebrafy inside my CMS or email tool?
Yes. The Chrome extension works on every major CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify) and email tool (Gmail, Substack, ConvertKit, beehiiv, Apple Mail). Any text field or contenteditable region gets a Zebra Button.
